About us

Our Story - The Kenan-Flagler Student Store is a full-time MBA student-run organization. It was founded in the Spring of 2016 by Tim Ryan and Kyle Pinheiro, MBA Class of 2017, after identifying a funding gap for career clubs at Kenan-Flagler Business School (KFBS) that sponsor the majority of career exploration and preparation sessions. The store further promotes the school's core values of Excellence, Leadership, Integrity, Inclusion, Community, and Teamwork, and also promotes the school's focus on The Bottom Line and The Greater Good. The store seeks to generate sustainable profits for student activities via the sale of KFBS branded merchandise.

Our Mission - The mission of the Kenan-Flagler Student Store is to increase the sense of Community among current students and alumni of KFBS, and to provide the Master of Business Administration Student Activities (MBASA) with funds that can be used to enhance the student experience. In fact, 100% of the proceeds of the store are funded back to the MBASA to be distributed to various clubs that provide students with resources and opportunities including company visits and treks, guest speakers, and community-building activities. The store also provides experiential learning in running a small business while honing the skills taught at KFBS including retail, marketing & sales, operations, and finance. Additionally, the store creates opportunities for students to develop professional relationships with potential employers.
